A Very Good book in a Very Good dust jacket. 8vo., 239 pp., with Shepard and Sims charming illustrations. Bound in publishers blue cloth with blue illustrated dust jacket, price clipped. No additional printings or codes listed on copyright page. Jacket is rubbed along edges, tips and spine. With small chips at top of spine. Cloth is slightly faded along edges. Previous owners inscription opposite half title page, otherwise unmarked. Dust jacket now protected in mylar sleeve. When Mary last left the Banks children in Cherry Tree Lane, she took a "return ticket, just in case". In the third book, she returns to the park in front of Cherry Tree Lane the way she came, falling with fireworks. Once again she takes up nanny duties in the Banks household and leads Jane, Michael, the toddler twins John and Barbara (as well as the new baby girl Annabel) on various magical adventures.
Synopsis
