New York: Harcourt Brace & Company, 1952. First Amercan Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Plus in Good Dustjacket. Mary Shepard. Small Octavo. (7 9/16 in. x 5 3/16 in.) Greyish-blue buckram-covered boards with stamped navy portrait of Ms. Poppins and lettering to front board. Sharp, clean copy with just a wee bit of rubbing to extremities and a trace of browning to front joint. Map endpapers. $2.50 price to front flap of dustjacket. Some chipping to spine caps. Overall a very tight and and clean copy.
Synopsis
Who else but Mary Poppins can lead the Banks children on such extraordinary adventures? Together they all meet the Goosegirl and the Swineherd, argue with talking cats on a distant planet, make the acquaintance of the folks who live under dandelions, and celebrate a birthday by dancing with their own shadows.
