From the dust jacket: "This new poem by Robert Frost...is a literary event of major importance. In a Masque of Reason, Frost...is witty and charitable, mocking and affectionate, as many-faceted and sharp-edged as a diamond. He is at the same time detached and benevolent, ironic and warm-hearted - an attitude toward mankind that springs from his inexhaustible faith in the mind and spirit of the individual. Mr. Frost's flexible blank verse, heightened but never far from natural speech, sparkles with audacity and wit. The freshness and vitality of this play are communicated by the most casual reading. With each rereading the total import deepens and widens, for this extraordinary poem constitutes a still further range of the power, the imagination, and the technique of Robert Frost."

The dust jacket is un-clipped with the original $2.00 price intact on the front flap; light soiling to the back cover; small tears at the top of the spine and at the top flap corners...overall the jacket is in Very Good- condition.
