Small octavo (ca. 19cm.); contemporary morocco-backed gilt-lettered cloth prize binding, gilt spine in five compartments, yellow endpapers; [4],264pp. Corners gently bumped, spine a shade sunned, foxing to textblock, else Very Good and sound. Account of the trial following the hostage situation at the rue Haxo in the final days of the Paris Commune, which resulted in forty-seven deaths and seven death sentences.
