London; William Heinemann, 1893., 1893. Hard Cover. New Edition. Octavo, pp xi, [5], 256, [2] with original printed paper wrappers bound-in. Maroon pebbled half-calf bound by Robertson of Edinburgh with gilt titles to spine and marbled paper-covered boards with crest of Signet Society in gilt to upper board. All edges sprinkled red. Spine lightly rubbed. "Signet Library" inscribed to paper wrapper with reference number in ink; matching number inscribed to front pastedown; endpapers very lightly soiled. A Very Good copy. Translated from the Norwegian by Gosse & Archer with biographical note and appendix for critics.
