His remarkable pictures of the Civil War brought the war home to America's people in vivid, graphic images. This large-format book measures 12" x 17" and contains some of his most dramatic images of the war and people caught up in it--men, women, soldiers, politicians, and generals. All photos are captioned. Many photographs are double page and are reveal the finest detals. The covers are the original glossy pictorial covers with the same images as the dust jacket. This is a clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The dust jacket in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings.
