Early issue, with ads dated May, 1856; with final leaf of ads and containing "The Charge of the Light Brigade" celebrating the famous "death charge of the six hundred of the Crimean War on October 25, 1854, a British brigade knowng the folly of its orders, charge the Russian line at Balaclava and was decimated. (8) pp. ads, 153pp. Bound in green cloth decoratively stamped in blind, title on spine gilt; light wear to spine ends. Internally fine. A very nice, clean bright copy with ads.
