It is surrounded by the counties of: Bedford, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marshall, Rutherford, and Williamson. This book is a listing of 1,335 soldiers and patriots from the county. Under each soldier's name is a small biographical sketch including such information as: birth, death, marriage, children, siblings, occupation, before enlistment, rank as soldier & company that he served in, along with many, many other tidbits of useful information.
