Port Perry: Observer Publishing, 2003. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 223. Pictorial, laminated card covers. The story of "The Markham Gang" that raged across the province during the 1840s. The two unusual aspects of the gang was the level or organization and the fact that the members were merchants, businessmen, etc., not the run-of-the-mill criminals. The appendices include; names of the gang members, names of the jurors in the various cases, list of major crimes during the period, a bibliography, and index. This copy has been signed by the author on the title page. A fine copy.
