About This Item

Usborne Publishing, 2016. Reprint Edition Printing Unknown. Hardcover. New/No Jacket Issued. Various artists color illustrations. CONDITION: NEW 2016 Usborne hardcover (pictorial boards - NO DJ ISSUED), reprint edition, no printing given. Color illustrations (and a few B&W) by various artists. Art reproductions. CONTENT: Think you can't interest kids in the Middle Ages? Well, they haven't seen the "newspaper" books published by Usborne. Contemporary language geared to kids and a great selection of stories for them to relate to. "Ring around the rosie (red rings showing you have plague), pocket full of posey (to ward off the evil spirits), ashes, ashes, all fall down (you turn black and fall down dead.)" An alternative way to learn the history of the Middle Ages, this amusing book which is cunningly disguised as a tabloid newspaper. Including stories about The Black Death, The Crusades, and features such as 'What's new at the Spanish Inquisition?', 'What's on the monastery menu?' and 'How to support your favorite knight at a jousting tournament.' I promise you, kids will love it. Grades 6+, IMHO.
