Lithograph frontispiece portrait of Moore facing extra engraved title page. xvi, 17-277 pp. A collection of poems and songs by the popular Irish author, including several inspired by his visits to places in upstate New York, like Cohoes and Batavia. Of the Cohoes cataracts (later tamed by industrial mills and dams) he writes: There is a dreary and savage character in the country immediately about these Falls, which is much more in harmony with the wildness of such a scene, than the cultivated lands in the neighborhood of Niagara. p. 196. ; 24mo 5" - 6" tall .
