French text; history of the French knight and chivalry tradition. Book Description: Binding in period full calf, spines gilt, edges dyed red (binding of 3rd volume differs from gilt decorations of 1st/2nd volumes slightly as issued 22 years later). Dimensions: (12mo) 16.5 x 9.5 cm (6 1/2" x 3 3/4"). Condition: Very good; binding a bit rubbed, paper a bit browned and lightly foxed.
