Reprinted from the original text of 1749, What is notable are the dozen, poorly drawn pornographic B&W plates that leave the impression a buyer was paying for the erotic art (the book's blue spine contains no print) and the words were thrown in for free. 8vo, 312pp, b&w ills. Quarter blue cloth & marbled boards. Covers slt rubbed at edges, bumped at corners; the marbled paper worn esp at lower edge front cover. Spine ends rubbed; internally, short tear at bottom of half title page, o/w very good.
