London: Chatto & Windus, 1951. 446 pp. Octavo. Original blue cloth with gilt title on spine. A little dust soiled and with a little bit of fading where the tears where in the dust wrapper. Frontis portrait of author. 46 black and white illustrations. Folding map at rear. All edges trimmed. Original pictorial dust wrapper, not price clipped. Small amount of wear at the top and bottom of the spine. A very clean crisp copy with little wear and in a very attractive dust wrapper.
