Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First US edition, first issue. Contains the suppressed story "The Cardboard Box" and six pages of ads to rear. With 25 illustrations and frontispiece. Slight spine lean. Tiny bump and cloth tear to bottom front tip and another bump to bottom front board edge near the bottom. Some spotting to rear board. Light, vertical line of fading to cloth to board. Ownership inscription to front pastedown. Crack to rear gutter endpaper running about one fifth of the way down from top. Plate between between pages 148 and 149 detached but included (needs to be tipped in).
