Posthumous compilation of a number of the author's popular essays and addresses, by Henry James, Jr. Fifteen works, including "A Pluralistic Mystic," "Address at the Emerson Centenary in Concord," "Final Impressions of a Psychical Researcher," "On Some Mental Effects of the Earthquake," and "The Moral Equivalent of War." Moderate rubbing to cover extremities. Moderate discoloration and scattered tiny fade spots to boards. Spine somewhat darkened; spine label rubbed. Prior owner signature on front endpaper. Closed tear (1" ) at lower edge of "Prefatory Note" page near spine. A few instances of inobtrusive pencil lines to text margins. Otherwise clean and tight.
