About This Item
New York, New York: Bowne & Company, Inc., 1975. Second Edition 1975 . Hardcover. Fine/Good +. At the time of publication, this business was New York's oldest business establishment operating under the same name since its founding in 1775. A first edition of the history of this company, by this author, was published in 1952. This second edition, published in celebration of the bicentennial of Bowne & Co, Inc. incorporates material collected over the intervening years. A slim 83 page work with much black & white illustration has sharp red cloth covers with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover. The dust jacket is onion skin type and has three pieces missing along the spine and the largest by far is about one inch, this delicate dj is now protected in an archival quality Brodart cover and looks quite nice. A very nice copy, of a rather scarce work, available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box.
