About This Item
London: Brockhampton Press, 1963. 2nd Impression, 1964 . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Sheila Rose. The interior of the book is crisp and clean. There is a gift inscription to a former owner (Christmas 1973) on the half title page, but no other marks or wear. The beige covers are fresh, showing just a touch of wear to the top and bottom of the spine. The dust jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise in excellent condition, with minor edgewear and two short closed tears. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: "Michael hadn't been in school for very long, or had time to make friends, when he broke his arm and had to stay home while it healed. When he heard he could go back next term, he wasn't very happy, but an exciting summer spent fighting a caravan blaze, dressing up at a fair-ground side-show, chasing Mrs Brown's goat Gideon, and best of all, learning to play the recorder, restore his confidence, and when term starts, he is eager to get back.
