First American Edition with ninety full-page illustrations. Attractive red cloth covered boards with a significant gilt particulars to front cover and spine. Two full-page maps to rear, as well as six pages of ads. Previous owner's inscription in colored pencil to title page dated 1881. Minor wear to cloth on rear hindge, head/tail, and corners (see image). Overall a nice clean tight copy.
