A remarkably nice copy with light edgewear including some minor chipping to the spine label, but generally quite fresh. Contemporary owner name of "Robert Wilson, Major 2nd Batt. 42 Regiment, Nov 26th 1820." Given the provenance, believed to be Robert Wilson (1789-1873)of Pittsylvania County, VA, son of John Wilson of the same. An interesting association for an important Virginia family whose papers are held at UNC. Contents foxed with a couple of dog-eared leaves; and one or two contemporary notes in ink.
