[4], 808 p., [2] p.: many full-page and in-text illustrations; 29 cm. Publisher's binding: red morocco spine with five spine compartments between raised bands; gilt, silver, and black embossed spine title and illustration, signed at tail: "Rel. Engel." Red morocco-grain cloth boards have identical titles within elaborate gilt, silver, and black borders and decoration, signed "P. Souze." All page edges gilt. White moire endpapers. Half title and title page printed in red and black. Green ribbon bookmark. Bookdealer's stamp in purple on back fixed endpaper: Vincenzo Patarino, Libreria Antica & Moderna, Napoli. In Very Good- Condition: edges rubbed; corners of boards are rubbed through; front joint starting to separate at head of spine; foxing throughout; faint dampstain from upper edge of title page and some following pages; otherwise clean and tight.
