Paperback trade, good condition, black & white photos (mostly full-page), maps, corners some pages little bent, light foxing edges, spine & top corner rear cover creased, white background rear cover marked, front cover slightly faded, few foxed spots flyleaf & inside front cover, some edgewear. 155 pp. An amazingly detailed history of the long-gone tramways of Melbourne, with a mention of the similar trams in the United States. The colourful cable tram was the major street transport over two generations for Melbourne, San Francisco, Chicago and other cities of the late 19th century.
