Illustrated paper boards in matching glossy dust jacket. Introduction by TENNESSEE ERNIE FORD. Illustrations by JIM PADGETT. Warmly inscribed by Pearl as 'Phil' on front free endpaper, 'Marge -- | wish I could | be with you | every Christmas -- | and *any* day!! | Love you so | good! | Phil'. Sarah Ophelia Colley Cannon (1912-1996), known at the Grand Ole Oprey & elsewhere as Cousin Minnie Pearl, was a lover of hillbilly culture and lived in the fictional town of Grinders Switch, Tennessee.
