Book is firm in binding, color illustrated endpapers, front with previous owner;s book plate, numerous b&w illustrations, by Ruth Gannett, of Miss Hickory--a country woman with an applewood twig body and a hickory nut head--are totally winning. A very nice copy of this older children's book. Free of any markings, not ex-library. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 122 pages; Signed by Author .
Synopsis
Miss Hickory is a 1946 novel by Carolyn Sherwin Bailey that won the Newbery Medal for excellence in American children's literature in 1947.
