About This Item

Mist Over Pendle by Robert Neill (Hutchinson & Co. Ltd, [new] edition 1956).

Originally published in 1951 and the author's first and probably most known and read novel, a tale of witches and romance in seventeenth century Lancashire.

Dustwrapper art by Sax.

Hardback in dustwrapper. 328pp. Size: 7.5 x 5.25 inches approx. (190mm x 134mm).

Dustwrapper worn and rubbed to spine ends and corner tips; wear to folds; marked and stained in places, a little grubby; darkened to spine; short tear to front fold (just above 'Sax'). Spine and boards clean; a touch bruised to tail of spine and lower corner of boards. Offsetting to endpapers; age tanning to page margins and edges but otherwise generally clean throughout.

Nonetheless, remaining a reasonably nice copy – attractive in its dustwrapper.
