Mollie Fancher (d.1916) was a Brooklyn woman who suffered two accidents at the age of 17 and as a result became bind and partially paralyzed. Afterwards she displayed signs of supposed clairvoyance and split personality. She was also able to exist for long periods with little or no food. Witnesses testified to her being able to read books and letters clairvoyantly as well as identify lost objects. Over time Fancher became "possessed" or plagued by several different personalities with names such as Sunbeam, Idol and Rosebud (Shepard, Encyc. of Occultism I, p.323-24). [Crabtree 1361; Besterman, p. 99].
