Vol. I [44], 576, 585-92, 577-584, 593-1151p, [1] with 62 plates and additional engraved title and the folding map pf the Isle of Thanet. Vol. II Londini, Typis Aliciae Warren, anno Domini MDCLXI [1661] [22], 72, 71-94, 87-732, 735-828, [6], 831-1057pp, [57] p., 17 plates. Vol. III Savoy : Execudebat Tho. Newcomb, & Prostant Venales Ab. Roper, Joh. Martin, & Hen. Herringman ... MDCLXXIII. [1673.] [6], 378, 119, 130-218, 379-392pp, [2]. 28 plates. Latin text, that of Vol. III in two columns. Uniformly bound in fine 19th century dark blue morocco. The boards panelled with rolls and further gilt decoration, the spines with raised bands and gilt in the panels, lettered in two panels and with the dates at the foot. All edges gilt, gilt edges to the boards and gilt inner dentelles. One or two excellent paper repairs including a small panel of blank paper inserted to the first volume title, presumably where an early owner's signature was excised. Minor scuffs to the leather, mostly at the joints. A fine set with 107 plates of 110,bound without the portrait and one or two plates. It seems quite usual to find volumes with different numbers of plates present and the much of the stock of Vol. III was destroyed in a fire, making complete sets scarce. There is a mutilated ex dono inscription dated 1656 in Vol. I, after which the set spent some time in a continental monastic library.
