A rather appealing set, both in the contents, which is a look at the first half of the 16th century, and in the binding of brown cloth with gold lettering on the spines and a gilt illustrated device at the center of the front panels. Head and tail decorations for each chapter. Volume 1 has 365 pages, volume 2 has 342 pages plus 10 pages of advertisements.
