London: The Palaeontographical Society, 1879. Book. Very Good. Soft cover. First Edition. 4to (22 x 28cm). 1879-1889. Complete in three parts, each part with separate title page and prelims; general title page, contents, directions to the binder bound in part 3. 13 fine lithographic plates, letterpress captions opposite each plate. Collation as follows: Part I: Pages 1 - 38; Plates I - v. Part II: Pages 39-58, Plates VI-XI. Part III: Pages 59-86, Plates XII, XIII. All three parts bound in original paper wrappers with printed title labels to the front covers, part 2 front cover nearly detached otherwise very good (these original paper bindings were not intended to last - it was expected that the purchaser/subscriber would bind them up) Contents generally very good, single stamp to the last blank page of each section otherwise very clean without notable marks. Plates very good and clean without any notable foxing or marking, a few slightly toned at edges. A very good set. Please note we have many other sections and monographs from the Palaeontographical Society volumes..
