Very Good. 4th printing, 1944 signed by Howard under his name on the title page, very good cloth hardcover shows mild lean to spine, mild soil to covers, rubbing at cover edges with bit of fraying and tiny bit of tearing at spine ends and corners, tiny tear at top edge of front hinge, tanning at hinge of pages 8-9, occasional bit of soil at interior but otherwise tight and clean. 347 pages with bibliography, index and endpaper maps by Irvin Shope. Still a solid copy that is signed by the author of this noted and highly regarded history of Montana. Signed.
