A scarce edition in original unclipped dustwrapper of 'Moonlight Flitting', a novel from the 'Chief Inspector Martineau Investigates' series by Maurice Procter. First edition. Dustwrapper design by Oliver Elmes. Maurice Procter (1906 - 1973) was an English novelist best known for his series of police procedural novels featuring Detective Chief Inspector Harry Martineau of the Granchester City Police. In his novels Granchester was an industrial city in the north of England. Procter based the city on Manchester. With Foyles bookseller's label to front pastedown. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light shelfwear to the boards. Dustwrapper with only very minor edgewear and slight marginal offsetting and very slight handling marks to rear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Fine
