The second edition of this scarce work.An improvement on the tables of John Henry Moore, innovative tables for converting lunar observations. In this work, Thomas Kerigan improves upon the tables, working off Moore's and updating them over sixty years after Moore's original tables were published in 1772.An important mathematical work on nautical navigation.Illustrated with some in-text illustrations throughout.Written by Thomas Kerigan.Bound without the folding chart. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with a little rubbing to the paper to the boards, with a very small amount of loss of paper to the rear board. Some light marks to the boards and spine. Very minor bumping to the extremities. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front free endpaper. Bound without the rear endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very light age toned in places and clean, with only a few light spots. Bound without the folding chart. Very Good
