Hardcover in slipcase. 3 vols. 4to (12.5" x 7.5"), half blue cloth with decorative blue and white paper over boards, gilt author & title at spines. Vol. 1: xv, 222 pp.; Vol. 2: 269 pp.; Vol. 3: 273 pp. B&w illus. throughout all vols. Previous owner's initials in pencil on front paste-down of vol. 1. CONDITION: Very good, light dampstains and dust-spots on bottom of text-block edges of all three volumes, light wear to extremities. Slipcase worn at extremities, some splitting along edges but still reasonably intact. One of 1500 copies signed by the illustrator Robert Gibbings. This copy number 1241.
