Boards mildly rubbed and soiled (some white spots); chapped extremities w/ small bumps; gilt faded on spine. Top edge gilt; light soiling intermittent throughout interior, else clean and sound. Very Good or Better.

Sister M. Xaviera takes an intimately biographical look at Mother Mary Clotilda, Superior of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (a Catholic religious institute) from 1869-79 and 1885-94. Also included are stories of her closest contemporaries, including Sister Mary Birgid Smith.
