LONDON: METHUEN & Co Ltd, 1934 Green Cloth boards with gilt titles to spine, 195 x 135 mm approx. 244pp + 8pp of publisher's adverts. First Edition 1st printing. Novel set in China by the author of the acclaimed book "The Good Earth". Good/Good (Book- No notable wear or shelf soiling to boards. No previous owner name or insc. Heavy foxing only to prelims , last few pages and edges of book block- the book has been graded as "good" only for this reason. Dust Jacket - colour rubbed to extremities with a few small tears/nicks and a little loss- max tear 15 mm to top rear panel. max loss 3x5mm at head. No significant shelf soiling and non price clipped- cover7/6. Curiously the blurb about the book to front flap fold is printed on a pasted on slip of paper.
