Includes many articles on fishing and hunting written by a variety of contributors, primarily active in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area at the turn of the century. Illustrated with historical photos, many of outdoor views, camping, fishing and hunting. The journal was also active in political matters, namely lobbying for no hunting license fees, no catch limits on fish, no seasonal restrictions on deer (one kill per year allowed) and otherwise wide open hunting for all. Notable articles in this issue include Susquehanna Water Gap, The annual Montana elk slaughter, Various kinds of trout, My first swan, white deer in fact, Tackle for trout hunting and many more. The first issue of the journal was published in March, 1911 and had mysteriously disappeared by 1914. Copies of the journal are ultra rare.
