Philadelphia: John C. Winston. Very Good- in Poor dust jacket. 1930. First Edition. Hardcover. Chapters include Mt. Vernon, The American Ancestory of George Washington, Nelly Custis, The Arlington Estate, The Lees at Arlington, etc. Original blue cloth covers with gilt spine and cover lettering and a pictorial pasteon of Mt. Vernon on the front cover. There is a small number on the front end paper (1516), spotting to the spine, a few spots to the foredge, and it appears an old bookplate may have been removed from the front end paper, else a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The dust jacket lacks the spine, but front and rear panels in in a removable acetate dust jacket protector now. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 282 pages .
