About This Item

Printed in England (1989). [Film promotion] British quad crown poster for the 1989 MGM/UA film starring Timothy Dalton as Ian Fleming's James Bond, produced by Cubby Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson's EON Productions. National Screen Service credit at foot. Approximate dimensions 40 x 30 inches. Never folded, condition A (fresh), with one small nick close to the edge. Reverse side is very clean with no ink writing. Uncommon to find these without fold lines as most were send out folded in envelopes. Scarce thus. Approx dimensions 40x30 inches, landscape format. Note on Format; the 'quad' is a landscape view UK movie poster measuring approx. 30 x 40 inches, generally issued folded (prior to 1980s) with one vertical and three horizontal creases. This is the standard (and most collectible) format for film posters in Britain, being the equivalent of the US 'one-sheet'. Nourmand, Tony. James Bond Movie Posters, pp.168-9.
