About This Item
Sag Harbor, NY: The Permanent Press, 1999. Second Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. 244 pages. A reprint of Banks' first book, which was rejected by one publisher as a "smartass parafeminist psycho-erotic thriller", a blurb that appears on the front cover of this re-issue. First published in 1979. Banks lives in Bastrop, Texas. First printing of this second edition. Fine in a fine dust jacket. This copy is nicely inscribed to fellow Texas author Neal Barrett, Jr.: "for Neal, your work has made me laugh plenty. Now it's my turn! Lyn. Carolyn Banks."
Provenance: From the collection of book collector Tom Garner, who was a close friend of Barrett's and to whom Barrett's novel Interstate Dreams is dedicated.
