Murder Must Advertise is a Lord Peter Wimsey mystery novel by Dorothy L. Sayers, published in 1933. Wimsey accepts an offer from the highly respectable management of Pym's Publicity, Ltd. (a light disguise for S. H. Bensons, where Sayers worked) to investigate a mystery and avert a scandal. Copywriter Victor Dean has died in a fall down the office's spiral iron staircase, but he left a half-finished letter to the management hinting that something potentially scandalous is going on at Pym's.

Good condition, clean, colors vibrant. very slight pulling of spine (1/2 in. ) at top, Some waving in upper body of book, small spot on gold guilt at bottom and very small scratch on top. High quality paper, acid free paper is 70-pound Franklin Library Vellum Cream . Pages that are sewn not glued into the binding. Gold gilded page edges on all three sides. Raised spine bands that give each book that distinctive antique look. It remains a beautiful copy, good enough to be given as a treasured gift.

Synopsis

Most of the action takes place in an advertising agency, a setting with which Sayers was very familiar. One of her advertising colleagues, Bobby Bevan, was the inspiration for the character Mr Ingleby.
