His research is collected in an index file box holding information on card stock mostly 5" x 8" There are more than 80 watercolors plus field notes and pen and ink sketches of mushrooms mostly collected from Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. Edgar Seeler recorded the information about the identified mushroom specimens and his wife Katherine Seeler painted the watercolors. We are able to count 38 watercolors relating to Nantucket plus 6 black and white as well as 10 watercolors in an envelope. There are 37 researched mushrooms with watercolors without a designated location. Two were collected in Florida in 1943 and another from California. Katherine Seeler was a member of the Artist's Association of Nantucket as well as an expert on Nantucket baskets. .
