London: Henry Colburn, Publisher 1839 Volume One only. HB, 2nd Ed., xiv, 402pp, frontis, 1 plate, 2 vignettes in text, lacks map. Dark blue half leather, gilt tooling to spine, inset tan leather title square. Marbled blue covers, endpapers and edges. Some darkeneing to covers, rubbing to edges, spine bright. Small loss to margins of first few pages, previous owners name and date to fep. Some light spotting throughout. Internal cracking to hinges. A Fair copy.
