Includes: Goblin Market (Christina Rossetti); The Bailiff's Daugher of Islington (Percy Reliques); The Knight's Tale (Chaucer); Evangeline (Longfellow); The Jackdaw of Rheims ("Ingoldsby Legends"); The History of John Gilpin (Cowper); The Prisoner of Chillon (Byron); The Raven (Coleridge); Young Lochinvar (Sir Walter Scott); Enoch Arden (Tennyson); The Forsaken Merman (Matthew Arnold); La Belle Dame Sans Merci (Keats); The Ancient Mariner (Coleridge); Paradise and the Peri (Thomas Moore); The Courtship of Miles Standish (Longfellow); Henry the Leper (Dante Gabriel Rossetti); The Sensitive Plant (Shelley); The Pet Lamb (Wordsworth), etc. Very light to light browning to pages and alittle more on endpapers, previous owner's completed bookplate on front free endpaper, one or two tiny foxing marks thoughout pages, some light to moderate browning/shelf soiling and a few small foxing marks on edges of text block, wrinkling and some wear at top/bottom of spine and at corners light fading/browning to spine colour, some varying size areas or colour loss on rear board, light rubbing to boards and on spine.. Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Ownership plate stuck to front free endpaper. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Bookseller sticker stuck to front pastedown. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor wear marks to boards.
