About This Item
Girard: Haldeman-Julius Company, no date, circa late 20s. 57p., plus publisher's ads to p.64; staplebound 5 x 3.5 inch grey-blue wraps, spine-fold shows a little abrasion and the staple has very faintly begun to rust. Little blue book, 'Ten cent pocket series,' no. 389. "Sometime they had a cart driven by a dried-up skeleton of an old woman, and full of children, whose little heads peeped out, gazing with mournful eyes in expressive silence at the new land into which they had been brought. The rough, bony horse dragged itself along.." Plenty of haunting detail here that you can crib for your own stories.
