About This Item

New York: William Morrow & Co., Inc., 1946. First Edition . Cloth. Good/Poor. 7.5 " x 5.25. New York: William Morrow, 1946. First Edition. 7.5" x 5.25". Octavo, gray/green cloth boards with navy spine imprinting, 281 pp. Of the dustjacket, only the back flap and panel and the front flap remain; spine and front panel are gone - hence, of course, poor condition for the jacket. (surviving front flap does show price). Book itself is Good or a bit better; notable spine lean and remnants of tape from when the remaining jacket fragments were taped to the book. See scans. Those jacket fragments also show tape residue. Still, a scarce book and a scarcer jacket. Sturdily bound, bright and clean inside. First edition of one of Carter Dickson's Sir Henry Merrivale mysteries from a classic era. L38n
