Previous Dominican ownership stamps also to top & bottom edges, with his circular seal stamp & ownership signature to title pages. Very light toning to edges of textblock. Bindings square & tight. Text, besides ownership markings, remains rather clean & bright.. Two-Volume Set. 8vo. 6 x 8.5 in. xxxi, 608; 557 pp. Dark brown half-calf over pebbled cloth, titled in gilt on spine with ornamental rules & six compartments. Text in Latin. Thomas de Vallgornera (d. 1665) was a Spanish Dominican theologian, whose principle work was The Mystical Theology of St. Thomas, first published in 1662. A nice, serviceable set.
