The longest closed tear is 1 and 1/2 inches long. The panels are a trifle soiled. Maps by Erwin Raisz. From the dust jacket- "The road passes through country of incredible variety, through desert and jungle, Old World village and modern city, mountain and plain, wilderness and farmland. It is being constantly improved and pushed toward its next immediate goal, the Panama Canal. It is now open to tourist travel as far as Costa Rica, and to drive it is an adventure whose exotic flavor is caught in this book.
