This novel by spy novelist extraordinar, is a departure from the novels which made him an icon author. Book is in very fine condition. Spine has a very slight crease and in very gently bumped at spine ends. Book is bound in brown cloth over board and has gilt lettering on front and spine. There is a collection number and old price on FFEP otherwise is unmarked except for small, faded orange spot on bottom edge. Jacket is unclipped ($ 7.95) and very fine. There is a very small chip at bottom of spine. A wonderful LeCarre collectible, protected in Mylar.
Synopsis
The Naïve and Sentimental Lover is John le Carré's first novel to avoid the subject of espionage. The novel has autobiographical elements, as it is based on the author's relationship with James and Susan Kennaway following the breakdown of le Carré's first marriage.
