Andover, MA: Addison Gallery of American Art, Phillips Academy, 1955.. 1955.. Good. - Small quarto [approximately 10-3/4 inches high by 8 inches wide], cloth in a dust wrapper. The binding is lightly rubbed & bumped with a small tear to the tail of the spine. The dust jacket is soiled & chipped with tears to the top edge & a piece out of the head of the jacket spine & the adjacent corners of the front panel. There is some staining to the front panel. 112 pages. Profusely illustrated in color and black & white. Very good in a fair dust wrapper. <p>First edition.<p>In this book, based on an exhibition shown at the Addison Gallery of American Art, the author writes about the difference between reality and the artist's individual vision.
