National Archives, Dept of National Education, Windhoek. 10 colour prints reprints made from original paintings by Thomas Baines (1820-1875) executed during his travels in central Namibia during 1861 and 1863/64. Titles of the prints are: "Hykomkap on the Swakop River"; "The Otjimbingwe Voluntee Artillery"; Rhenish Mission Church"; "Outspan"; "Christmas on the Narib plain"; "Hugo Hahn addressing the Herero before the battle against the Ooorlam/Nama"; "Wagon outspan at !Onanis"; "Trader Runcie's house at Anawood"; "Trader Latham's house and trading store at Walvis Bay"; and "The Elizabeth Mary' anchoring at Walvis Bay". Small abrasion mark to each print at the lower LH corner with light tide marks and some cockling to the LH edges. Condition: Fair to good. Binding: Thin card envelope. Tidemarks with some cockling and creasing. Some edge-wear.
